Introduction to Becoming a Character

Now that you have your active verb lists, it is important to study how actors
use textual analysis to "become" a character.

Although reading plays a huge part of becoming a character, a willingness to manipulate
one's body with the text (usually memorized or recited while learning) also assists in the
process of experimenting in order to formulate one's character and their actions within
a dramatic context (play, film, commercial or other dramatic endeavor).
